Happy Birthday John Lennon!

Birthday Song! just for you Johnny boy! October 9 1940 - December 8 1980.
To celebrate his 72nd birthday, I decided to write about a Beatles song.  The song I have selected to write about is : "A Day In The Life" Which can be found: HERE!
It was written in 1967, and was on the album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart Club Band. Half was written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
on a more personal note, so this doesn't just sound like some report for school or something, I LOVE this song! some of you might disagree, but if you really listen to the lyrics they relate to daily life, well for me anyway, it reminds me of my thought process. man I must be more scatterbrained then I thought. here are some lyrics for you! :D

I read the news today oh, boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well, I just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They'd seen his face before
Nobody was really sure if he was from the house of lords

I saw a film today oh, boy
The english army had just won the war
A crowd of people turned away
But I just had to look
Having read the book
I'd love to turn you on.

Woke up, fell out of bed

Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up, I noticed I was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
And somebody spoke and I went into a dream
Ah

I read the news today oh, boy

Four thousand holes in blackburn, lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the albert hall
I'd love to turn you on

Sorry for such the short post, I may or may not do more music blogs, let me know what you think.

RANDOM FACT ABOUT THE SONG!
The orginal lyric sheet was sold at auction to an american buyer in June 2010 for $1,200,000 or  £810,000
